Admissions Process for Siblings

Sibling applicants receive priority consideration and should apply for the upcoming school year by early November. While we seek to make the most appropriate admissions decision for each student, meaning sibling admission is not automatic, it is always our desire to bless families by serving as many of their children as possible. After all, siblings make the best Defenders!

Sibling applications open each fall via the School Memo and can be accessed by logging into Family Portal Please be sure to follow this helpful Checklist as you begin and submit the Sibling Application to ensure you receive the reduced application fee of $100. Parents will need to periodically login to Family Portal to check the status of required supplemental forms (e.g., school records and recommendations, student writing samples and reading lists, etc.).

Please note that Sibling Applications must be submitted by the deadline to receive priority consideration and an admissions decision prior to (re-)enrollment for current students. Also, the sibling application may be used as an update, when appropriate.

Application Deadline: November 28, 2022

Placement Testing GS: January 12 or 13 (scheduled upon a submitted application)

Placement Testing and Shadowing SLR:  January 11 (scheduled upon a submitted application)

After prayerfully considering each of your children's needs for education, complete a Sibling Application for Admission. You will login through Family Portal to begin and submit an application, including the $100 application fee, and the online portal will help you track additional application items (e.g., school records and recommendations, student writing samples and reading lists, student and academic references, etc.).

Prepare for the School Year

Order books, uniforms, etc. and submit medical records

The beginning of summer is a good time to prepare for the upcoming school year by purchasing school uniforms and textbooks and scheduling doctor’s appointments for immunizations, screenings (vision, hearing & scoliosis), and sports physicals.  You should have all your books purchased and all health/medical records submitted before Paideia Week.

Attend Paideia Week | AUGUST 7-11, 2023

All new students in K-12, including siblings, need to participate in our annual summer orientation/training. Parents are encouraged to attend as well in preparation for their role at Veritas Academy.
