Family Ministries
Vision & Philosophy
The Family Ministries department exists as a way to minister to families as they navigate the many different roles required of parents in a collaborative school. Our vision is for Family Ministries to exist as the hub of a small town. We want to help families build and strengthen their communities at the school, provide avenues for families to connect, serve and pray, and walk with families through times of joy and sadness. Our vision is not to replace the church but to be a full extension of the body of Christ at school. Family Ministries creates a safe space where parents’ needs are met by listening, sharing, and learning more about God’s role in their families, thus continuing to foster a school community rooted in faith and love.

Care
Family Ministries cares for our families. Through prayer, mentorship, and encouragement, we aim to lift our families through all seasons of the Veritas journey. It is never too early or too late to reach out for support. Our mentors are available to reinforce family rhythms, connect you with your church or class, and offer tangible assistance during challenging times. In addition to caring for you, we also point our families to care for those outside of our community through our Shines community service events.
Connect
Family Ministries strives to connect our families to each other and the school. Several opportunities are available throughout the year to spend intentional time with those in the community. We also provide space for parents to share their gifts with the school through volunteering on our Traditions Teams, which build community, foster meaningful connections and leave a legacy for our students.
Equip
Family Ministries partners with families to unite together around the school’s mission and shared core values. Beginning the year with Paideia and throughout the year with our Small Group Mentoring and Individual Mentoring, we provide resources and sessions to equip parents in their efforts to establish homes that powerfully support mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.
Celebrate
Family Ministries has many unique and intentional events to celebrate our families throughout the year. As we celebrate those in our community, we also provide opportunities for you to connect with other families through volunteering at these special events.
