PSIA

With 18 contest categories covering a wide range of disciplines in 62 academic contests, PSIA provides an exciting opportunity for private school students in grades 1 through 8 to engage in academic competition with their peers throughout the state of Texas. PSIA remains the most comprehensive academic extracurricular program in the nation for students in Grades 1-8. Each year Veritas Academy has had tremendous success at the District competition, and we see many students advance to the State level in their selected events!

Art Memory, Calculator Applications, Dictionary Skills, Listening Skills, Maps, Graphs & Charts, Mathematics, Music Memory, Number Sense, Science, Spelling, and Vocabulary.

Subjective Events

Judged Compositions & Productions

Storytelling, Modern Oratory, Oral Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Creative Writing, Ready Writing, and On-Site Drawing.

Study Group sessions

Monday, October 7 @ 4-5:30pm

Wednesday, November 13 @ 4-5:30pm

We will have two after-school study session days, where you can connect with coaches and friends who are studying for the same contest.

Competition Dates

In-House Competition at veritas: Saturday, January 18, 2024 (Morning)

Top competitors from Veritas will have the honor of representing our school at the District Meet.

District competition at regents: Saturday, March 1, 2024

Winners of the District Competition will advance to the State Competition.

State competition at texas state university: Saturday, April 26, 2024
